DOKUDOC: YouTube Workshop

As part of the 14th edition of the DOKUDOC International Documentary Film Festival, we are organizing a two-day workshop on video production for YouTube. Today, documentary films often come to life on online platforms, reaching audiences in new ways — accessible, direct, and global. YouTube is one of the key tools for connecting stories with viewers.

The workshop is intended for young people aged 15 to 25 who want to learn how to take an idea and turn it into a video that captures attention. Together, we will explore the basics of YouTube scriptwriting, filming, and editing.

Your mentor will be Blaž Gračnar — an experienced videographer and successful YouTube creator who will share hands-on knowledge and practical tips.

Participation is free of charge, but places are limited to just 15 participants to ensure a focused and creative learning environment. The workshop is organized in cooperation with the Youth Cultural Center Maribor (MKC) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Informatics (FERI).
