Each in a unique way, the two compositions by Tchaikovsky and Schoenberg are imbued with a sense of the transformative power of time. Souvenir de Florence is a nostalgic tribute to a city where time stood still for Tchaikovsky in a moment of beauty and creativity. The music is full of Mediterranean passion and emotional warmth, as if the composer sought to preserve each moment for eternity. Schoenberg’s sextet Verklärte Nacht is a masterpiece of musical Expressionism that reveals a dramatic transformation. It is a story of forgiveness, inner strength and the opportunity for a new life through love. You can buy tickets online, at the Information Office of the Maribor National Center and one hour before the start at the concert venue. Tickets with a discount can only be purchased at the Information Office Narodni dom Maribor and no more than one hour before the concert at the concert venue.
