No Other Land

Palestinian activist and journalist Basel Adra has spent years documenting how Israeli occupiers systematically destroy villages and Palestinian lives in his home region of Masafer Yatta in the West Bank. In the struggle to protect his community, he forms an unexpected alliance with Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham—a connection that slowly grows into a friendship, offering a glimmer of hope amid escalating horror.

This film was made jointly by Palestinian and Israeli activists and filmmakers. Our goal was to stop the forced displacement of people living in the Masafer Yatta region and to resist the reality of apartheid into which we were born—on opposite and unequal sides. The world around us is becoming more terrifying, violent, and brutal with each passing day, and we increasingly feel powerless in the face of it. All we can do is cry out something radically different: to create a film that is, in essence, a proposal—an invitation to imagine how Israelis and Palestinians might live together on this land not as oppressors and oppressed, but as truly equal human beings.
