Genocide in Palestine and the Complicity of the West

Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, is visiting Slovenia. As part of her visit, she will present, among other things, the findings of her latest report on the responsibility of public and private actors in relation to Israeli human rights violations and the unlawful occupation of Palestinian territory.

Francesca Albanese is coming at the invitation of civil society. Two public events will take place during her visit – one in Maribor and one in Ljubljana.

The Maribor event will take place as part of the Understanding the World program, organized by Pekarna Magdalenske mreže and the Organization for Participatory Society, with the support of the Maribor Puppet Theatre and the Minoriti Cultural Quarter.

The Ljubljana event will be held on July 9 at 6:00 PM in the Atrium of ZRC SAZU, as part of the Amnesty Academy and the Grounded festival, which will take place from August 21 to 23 in Ljubljana.

The events are co-organized (in no particular order) by: the Organization for Participatory Society, Amnesty International Slovenia, Pekarna Magdalenske mreže, the Movement for Palestinian Rights, and the Open Institute.
