On the verge of the invisible / CONVERSATION
The discussion with the creators offers insight into the making of the performance On the Verge of the Invisible and their exploration of decoding musical and dance forms, while opening up space for experimentation with new approaches to sound design and composition. The creators will share their compositional and choreographic processes and talk about the integration of disciplines with the participants.
Jure Pukl is a jazz musician who initially studied, completed, and performed classical music. Even before that, he played guitar in a grunge trio. In the project On the Verge of the Invisible, he sought a meeting point between improvised, programmed, arranged, live-played, and manipulated music with dance. The music and dance carry a message open to interpretation, encouraging the viewer or listener to form their own understanding.
Urška Centa blends contemporary flamenco with a variety of musical and performative practices, liberating flamenco from its traditional Spanish national context and infusing it with a spirit of freedom, unbound by rigid rules. She places her research processes and collaborations with various artists into the Slovenian cultural space and beyond through diverse projects.
