Rok Zalokar Zhlehtet + pridinajazz

Rok Zalokar is a versatile pianist, composer, and producer from Ljubljana. After years of studying and living in Rotterdam and Copenhagen, he has become a key figure in the local (post-)jazz scene. He leads the collective Zhlehtet and a piano trio while also developing his distinctive artistic voice as a solo performer on piano, organ, and electronics. His music blends various elements, including layers of minimalist patterns, jazz harmony, impressionistic motifs, and hip-hop aesthetics, but above all, his musical storytelling strives to break free from the duality of past and future. Over the past decade, Zalokar has released twenty albums of original music as a bandleader on labels such as RTV ZKP, Celinka, ZARŠ, Kamizdat, Nature Scene Records, and Modigo. In addition to regularly performing at festivals in Slovenia and abroad, he has received the Jazzon award for best composition and performance, as well as the international Erasmus Jazz Prize.
