Jimmy Barka Experience

JBE is a trio of veterans from the Slovenian music scene. Their main priority is to avoid all the pitfalls of the conventional DJ-musician duo and to break away from the rather linear practice of providing musical accompaniment to DJ sets. Instead, they approach their performances as a combo, a system of equal roles and tasks. This creates a collage of diverse sounds, ranging from funk, breaks, and Afro to Balkan influences and rock. The result is a hectic blend and a wild yet harmonious ride from Peru to Baku.

Following their album Old News and the mini-album Stolen Boats, the group released the classic EP Three Piece Puzzle in May 2019. In March 2024, they unveiled their first full-length album, Jusqu'ici tout va bien.
