DANCE PULSES, regional dance showcases, organized by JSKD OI Maribor

The regional dance showcases DANCE PULSES present an overview of dance activities by children’s, youth, and adult dance groups, as well as individual performers working within cultural associations, institutions, and schools. Participants explore a wide range of dance approaches and styles, united by a shared aim: to present conceptually rich, clearly articulated, and convincingly performed dance miniatures.

Dance Pulses is professionally monitored by the regional selector Tina Valentan, a dancer, educator, and choreographer, who will select outstanding miniatures for the regional dance showcases in Murska Sobota and Selnica ob Dravi.

From the regional showcases, the national selector Snježana Premuš will choose selected works for the national mini festival of children’s dance groups PIKA MIGA, taking place in Velenje in October, as well as for the ŽIVA Festival of Youth Dance Creativity, which will be held in Ljubljana in November.
