Denise Dantas Quartet
Renowned Brazilian singer and actress Denise Dantas has created a unique original expression in which she combines samba and the influences of innovative modern jazz within modern Brazilian music, and together with the group she articulates the attractive sound combination of the best of both artistic expressions as Brazilian jazz. Together with the musicians, she created a recognizable sound of samba with elements of jazz and presents it under the name "Sambei no Jazz", and the concerts with the same name represent a real musical experience, as the dancing audience at their concerts in our cities could see for themselves.
The sound base of the Denise Dantas Quintet is represented by the passionate and dynamic samba, which is essentially a typical Brazilian dance with a lively, happy and fun rhythm, as well as Brazilian musical variations on modern jazz. The technically extremely skilled quintet performs both original compositions and re-arranged Brazilian standards, and the rich melodies and solid rhythms are supported by the experienced vocal interpretation of Denise Dantas. The Brazilian singer sings about the tumultuous history, spirituality and diversity of her homeland, but romantic lyrics and protest music are not lacking either.
For more than two decades, Denise has been combining many different cultures with her musical experience, and since 2004 she has been living between Italy and Slovenia. Ever since his arrival, he has devoted himself to the spread of Brazilian music and culture in Europe and collaborates with various musicians in northern Italy, Spain and Slovenia.

Denise Dantas began her artistic journey in the 80s as a singer in local clubs in the city of Feira de Santana, in the Brazilian state of Bahia. Bahia and the capital Salvador are considered to be one of the centers of Brazilian music, and Denis paved her way to the forefront of the music scene with her distinctive vocals and numerous victories in singing competitions. She has collaborated with established artists such as Geronimo, Vevé Calazans, Saul Barbosa, Tonho Materia, Paulinho Boca de Cantor and Master Fred Dantas.
