There are no dates for this event currently

The DOKUDOC International Documentary Film Festival, taking place this year from 10 to 13 September 2026, is organising the DOKUDOC Documentary Workshop 2026 in collaboration with Luksuz Production and the Maribor Youth Cultural Centre (MKC Maribor), under the mentorship of Bela Bračko-Milešević.

The workshop, which will take place from 8 to 13 September 2026 at the Sodni Stolp in Maribor, is intended for participants aged 15 to 35. It is designed as an intensive, hands-on programme focused on creating a short documentary film—from the initial idea and filming to editing. Participants will work in teams and gain insight into the entire filmmaking process. The resulting films will premiere on Sunday, 13 September 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Maribor Puppet Theatre.

Participation is free of charge, and places are limited to 10 participants. Applications are available here.

Everyone interested in exploring and creating their own short documentary film through hands-on work is warmly invited to apply.

About the mentor: Bela Bračko-Milešević holds a master’s degree in documentary directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. Her documentary films have been screened at numerous regional and international festivals, including Kasseler Dokfest, ZagrebDox, and Liburnia Film Festival. Her work encompasses directing, editing, and film education.

The DOKUDOC International Documentary Film Festival 2026 is organised by Mitra, Association for the Development of Audiovisual Culture and Intercultural Dialogue, with the financial support of the Slovenian Film Centre and the Municipality of Maribor, in partnership with the Minoriti Cultural Quarter.
