Extended Score

Extended Score is a performance, a visual and sonic event that invites attentive listening, watching, and sensing of spatial resonances. After a year, it returns to the unique setting of the Minorite Church. This return is not merely a repetition, but a continuation and deepening – the project is enriched by the experience of last year's residency and open studio, as well as by the interim stages of creation in spaces of varying dimensions and characters. All these transitions and encounters with space are woven into the structure of the project and subtly modulated into a choreographic-sound whole.

The author, Andreja Rauch Podrzavnik, continues her exploration of the possibilities of choreographic and sound scores that evolve organically in response to space – space as an active co-creator and dramaturgical element of the performance. In this edition of the project, a team of dance artists from different generations enters the space, drawing movement from simple foundations such as walking, then developing and elaborating them into complex dance phrases performed with a sense of precision, detail, and transformation.

The musical part remains inseparably connected to the recognizable signature of Croatian composer and musician Josip Maršić, whose compositions create sonic landscapes that both lead and echo the movement of bodies. Dance and music coexist in constant dialogue – their intertwining forms the dramaturgy of the event, which is at once a concert, a dance performance, and a spatial intervention.
