FRANKENSTEIN’S LITTLE CABINET OF LONELINESS

“They say darkness creates monsters.
I believe it is loneliness.”
FRANKENSTEIN’S LITTLE CABINET OF LONELINESS
Inspired by Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein, this puppet theatre performance explores otherness, loneliness, and the human need for connection through a dark, grotesque, yet poetic world.
Within the world of a small travelling theatre, Viktor assembles a body from forgotten objects, while Elizabeth helps him discover his inner world.
The performance invites us to reflect on what truly creates monsters — and what happens when someone who longs only to be accepted is left alone.
At a time when technology connects us more than ever, yet does not necessarily bring us closer, the story of Frankenstein once again challenges us to consider our capacity for empathy, acceptance, and genuine human connection.
