Grafenauer flamenco project

The Grafenauer Flamenco Project is an ensemble led by Izidor Erazem Grafenauer, performing original compositions of contemporary flamenco infused with elements of classical music, jazz, and world music. The project features some of Slovenia’s leading musicians.

Programme Open window consists of original works based on flamenco palos, and each composition reflects the author's reflection on the world around him, several years of dedication to creating the album and in-depth artistic research. With a mixture of traditional elements and modern musical approaches, it presents a fresh and distinctly expressive, yet respectful view of this masterful musical genre, thereby also bringing new possibilities and perspectives for the development of flamenco in Slovenia and beyond. With its innovation, it opens a wide window for new musical generations and encourages diversity and the exchange of ideas.
