Heart in the Dark
Human and animal hearts are much alike, yet animal ones are often found on a menu. Through the work and life of activist and scientist Mary Temple Grandin, the play will shed light on taboo topics of animal emotion and the meat industry. The main protagonist, who has dedicated her life to raising awareness of the importance of caring for the welfare of farmed animals and raising awareness of autism, does not condemn humans as omnivores, but fights for dignified animal life and humane death,
making it easier for everyone: humans and animals. The project will consist of two parts: an audiovisual installation and a performance with two actresses. The common thread will be the interweaving of psychological analysis of human and animal emotions.
