Honey Weekend in Maribor

The Honey Weekend will take place in Maribor from 7 to 9 June, and this year it promises a special novelty. The Minorite Church will be the venue for the display of the Giant Bee of Kranj - a 3D model of the worker bee Apis mellifera carnica, the native Slovenian bee from Kranj. In addition to the well-known interactive apiary, there will also be a rich exhibition of hive finials, a living apiary and lectures aimed at both the general public and professional audiences. Children will be able to join in a variety of workshops, while nature lovers can enjoy a hike with Spella the bee along the bee trail. A sumptuous honey market, open from Friday to Sunday, will be waiting for you in the Barracks Square, where you will be able to indulge your taste buds with numerous tastings.
