In the Spirit of Prešeren: Along the Minorite Path

On this special holiday, we open our doors wide and invite you to explore spaces usually hidden from view: staircases, corridors, backstage areas, and workshops.

Lutkovno gledališče Maribor is housed in the restored Minoritski samostan dating back to the 13th century. The complex, which also includes the Minoritska cerkev Maribor, Sodni stolp, and the Tri babe building, represents an important and fascinating chapter in the history of Maribor.

As we walk through the complex, we discover not only its rich past but also its vibrant present. Today, hundreds of events take place here each year as part of the Kulturna četrt Minoriti and Lutkovno gledališče Maribor, which has been bringing the monastery to life for the past 15 years.

Participation in the guided walk is free of charge, but registration is required.
