The Museum of the Oldest Vine in the World tells the incredible story of the tenacity of the 460-year-old blue vine, its caretakers, skills and extraordinary heritage.
The oldest vine in the world was planted in the second half of the 16th century. The first known depiction of a vine dates back to 1657. In 2004, the oldest vine in the world was entered into the Guinness Book of Records. Today it is considered an invaluable natural value of Slovenia.
Free visit on 5th November
There will be two guided tours: the first as part of a walk through the Cultural Quarter, and the second at 4 p.m.
