Summer in Minoriti: SLON AND SADEŽ

Slon in Sadež — better known as Jure Karas and Igor Bračič — have been creating together since as far back as 2001. Their name was inspired by a strange and rather incomprehensible English joke, so it only seemed fitting that the music they began making reflected the same spirit. Despite repeated pleas from music critics to stop, they have released four studio albums to date: Kabáre (2003), Komercialne pizde (2005), Štafeta mladosti (2006), and Sponzorska plata (2010), as well as a radio sketch compilation album, Radio Slon in Sadež (2009).

Of course, the popular moustached duo are not involved only in music. For several years, they worked as television hosts and writers for the youth TV show Štafeta mladosti on RTV Slovenija. They remain active in radio, while also writing and performing at a wide range of events, award ceremonies, elections, and relocations. In addition, they create and record commercials, sketches, and scripts — in short, they seem to be everywhere, probably more than necessary.

Alongside their flourishing comedy career, the two are also proud owners of the golden trophy in the legendary Gostilniški peteroboj™ (“Pub Pentathlon™”), a demanding competition involving table football, billiards, darts, beer drinking, and arm wrestling — while notably excluding going home and paying the bill.
