Yīn Yīn

Duration: 1 H
Festival Lent

Although the band hails from the southernmost city of the Netherlands (Maastricht), their music is actually based on a fictional Caribbean island in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand. Since the release of their debut album in 2019 The Rabbit that Hunts Tigers, unexpectedly became one of the more popular European bands – regardless of musical genre – and paved the way for the biggest festivals (e.g. Pinkpop). New album Mount Matsu For Glitterbeat (which has received the flattering title of best world-music label five times), it only further solidified their position.

Erik Bandt, electric guitars • Remy Scheren, bass guitar • Jerry Scheren, keyboards • Kees Berkers, drums, percussion
