FOMB: Designer exhibition

The local and international environment already recognizes the Maribor Design Festival (FOMB) as an important event for the exchange of professional opinions, the expansion of business-partner contacts, and above all as an event for motivating young people on the path to success, which is more difficult to obtain in the learning process itself.

Every year, experts, interesting personalities, creators, idealists, students, parents, in short, everyone who is not afraid of challenges and would like to share knowledge, products and success with us, participate.

The basic guidelines of FOMB all these years have been created in the organization and implementation of the students and mentors of the Maribor High School of Design (SŠOM). The goal of FOMB is not only a professional-theoretical approach, but also the acquisition of practical skills, since the majority of the implementation of FOMB rests on the shoulders of students, their products and services under the watchful eye of mentors. This gives young people the opportunity to be recognized on the labor market.

With the FOMB competition, which is an important part of the festival itself, we want to attract elementary school students as well as other young people up to the age of 27 to try products in various design categories, both in the media, graphic, fashion, design world and also in the world of hairstyles.
