25. Festival of slovenian film Portorož in Maribor

We will be screening the award-winning film of the 25th edition of the Portorož Slovenian Film Festival, which is the main national film event and a celebration of Slovenian cinema.

The vision of the festival is to be present in the whole territory of Slovenia, especially in Maribor, where film activity has stagnated in recent years and needs more projects that will bring the Maribor audience back into contact with current international and national productions.

The objectives are to bring the Slovenian Film Festival and national film production closer to the audience in Maribor and the wider region, to provide access to the most current and best Slovenian films of the current year to the local audience, to create interaction between the audience and filmmakers and thus to promote the development of film activity in Maribor, and to gradually shape Maribor into one of the national film centres.
