DOKUDOC: DON’T FORGET ME

While sorting through boxes of photographs and film reels, a landscape of memory gradually emerges from the border region between Slovenia and Italy, a place divided in the last century by wars and political violence. The childhood memories of the oldest inhabitants, however, reveal a different perspective on this region—one that is far more shared than the history textbooks have taught us. The film weaves together the memories of people from both sides of the border and, through film and photographic archives, creates a space for a shared narrative against war in all its forms.
