Talk with the machine

Rok Oletič, who creates under the artistic name Kizuma, explores the interplay of broken rhythms, experimental digital sound textures, and immersive ambient landscapes in his musical projects. He carries the same spirit of exploration into his visual art, combining 3D modelling, graphic collage, and techniques of digital degradation.

This time, he presents an audiovisual concert entitled “A Talk with Machines,” offering an immersive, multilayered experience at the intersection of sound and image. The artist’s sounds and music do not merely accompany the video as a background; instead, they enter into a direct dialogue with it. Rhythm, texture, and atmosphere respond to what unfolds on screen, and vice versa, creating a unified, living organism.

The conceptual video offers a glimpse into a computer-generated science-fiction world built from cold geometries, digital artefacts, and deteriorating imagery, where its elements—machines, systems, and artificial structures—communicate with one another in a language of their own, one that is unfamiliar to us. Through this communication, questions emerge about the boundary between technology and consciousness, between command and response, and between a machine that executes and a machine that may, perhaps, think.
