The Carpenter’s Tale

A story about carving a better world

Firmin, a remarkably skilled carpenter, creates marvellous objects and repairs the mistakes of a foolish ruler. In the end, he repairs what matters most: he replaces the ruler’s lost head. Everyone sighs in relief : "This wooden head is without doubt better than his real one!" The parallels with personalities from the real world are no coincidence. Firmin’s calm nature, openness, and dedication to his craft underscore the value of perseverance, creativity and common good.
