Urša Kavčič with the Band

Urša Kavčič is a Slovenian actress and singer. She holds a master's degree in dramatic arts from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television in Ljubljana and furthered her education in New York at the New York Film Academy, specializing in Musical Theatre. Currently, she is a member of the Maribor Puppet Theatre ensemble. "Urša Kavčič with the Band" is a project that started in 2019, before Urša's departure to New York, as a send-off for a successful move. Since then, with a new program every year, excellent music, and playful performances, she fills the garden of Graščina Duplje and other venues to the brim. Her brother, pianist Jure Kavčič (Sam's Fever), stands by her side each time, along with other outstanding musicians: guitarist Nejc Ušlakar (Nash), drummer Anže Žurbi (Čedahuči), and bassist Aljoša Struga (Kalana).

At Minoriti, they will perform selected Slovenian songs by Svetlana Makarovič, Neca Falk, Čomp, and others, enriched by French chansons of Edith Piaf and some more and less known English songs. The concert will subtly blend pop, funk, blues, and chansons, thus telling a story of love.
