LEOPOLD I. AND DRÜGI

Leopold I. is a rapper from Gornja Radgona who, through his lyrics, portrays the life of the ordinary person. His songs pull back the curtain on the fluorescent facades of neatly kept countryside homes and take a closer look at seemingly perfect families — even peeking into their plates after Sunday mass (Val 202).

Leopold I. established himself on the Slovenian music scene in 2020 with a series of striking and socially engaged songs, which he brought together on his debut album Dobro jütro in 2022.

On stage, he is usually accompanied by his band Drügi, consisting of Karlo Petrović (drums), Filip Vadnu (guitar), Vid Turica (bass), and Žan Hauptman (keyboards, synth, vocals). The team also includes their sound engineer, Andi Gal (Road Production).
