Opening of the “Nostalgia” Exhibition

Students of the Secondary School of Design Maribor, enrolled in the Design Technician program, have drawn on the knowledge acquired over four years of study to develop their final projects, united under this year’s common theme, “Nostalgia.”

You are warmly invited to join us on a journey through memories, where personal stories, heritage, and contemporary design converge in the works of the next generation of creators.

The exhibition opening will take place on April 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

Graphic Design Module

Future graphic designers present visual projects that explore memory as a creative source. In their works, they reinterpret past motifs, analogue techniques, family stories, and collective imagery, translating them into contemporary visual languages.

Visitors can observe how—ranging from subtle typographic solutions to bold digital compositions—personal and social heritage is transformed into a relevant and modern design expression.

Fashion Design Module

The next generation of fashion designers reveals how memories of past eras, silhouettes, and materials can come to life in contemporary fashion. The created collections combine traditional approaches with modern cuts and functionality. Each piece carries a story and a sense of time, reinterpreted for the contemporary wearer.

Product Design Module

Students of the product design module present works inspired by objects, materials, and aesthetics of the past. Their contemporary interpretations of everyday forms explore how memory can become a starting point for functional and aesthetically refined solutions.

Graphic Operator

The future graphic operators present works that highlight the importance of technical precision and visual consistency in graphic production. Their projects demonstrate how a design concept, through professional execution, is transformed into a high-quality final product that combines aesthetic value with technical excellence.
