울림 (oollim) trio

(oollim) trio

The phenomenon or feeling of sound bouncing back after hitting something—or gently vibrating through space. The Korean word 울림 (oollim), a native Korean term, captures not just the physical echo of sound but also the emotional resonance it leaves behind. We also use 울림 as a verb when something touches or moves the heart. 가슴을 울리다 (Moves the heart).

The 울림 (oollim) trio plays music for the heart and soul, with the hope that the emotions you experience with us in this moment will stay with you, echoing within your heart long after. From arranged jazz standards, Korean traditional music, folk, contemporary jazz and original compositions by June Yun. Resonance is at the core of the trio’s sound: voice, vibraphone, and double bass - the trio creates music that resonates deeply, reaching the heart of listeners.
